Halloween in America is a joke: a joke hosted by the candy manufacturers lol.

Like Mexico, Filipino’s celebrate November 1st by visiting their dead. It’s a freakin’ party at the cemeteries.

It looks like our 4th of July festivities – vendors, people everywhere, music, police on every corner…

Everyone goes to the grave sights of their loved ones and light a bundle of candles (12, I think??). Some even camp out there in tents lol.

We were walking back to the vehicle when I noticed everyone jumping weirdly over this smoking coffee can. I started to walk around then stopped and asked what’s going on.

Neka: We step over it, its tradition.
Me: Why?
Neka: So the dead don’t follow us home.
Me: Alrighty then.

I leapt over.

I notice somebody speaking Filipino and two ran back and put like $.50 next to the can.

What I don’t understand is the 20 smoking coffee cans after that, that we walked around. I gotta lot of dead chillin’ with me right now.

HALLOWEEN IN THE PHILIPPINES

On the way back we stopped by the grocery store and got a shit ton of candy and dog food/ treats (I insisted). When we got back to the house we dumped in all in a bag and a box and walked house to house giving it away, saying – trick or treat!!! Lol It was great 😊
