NYC Day 2: Saturday. Fuck my life

I wake up and am dying.

Like every time that I pledge to myself that I’m fucking getting up to get ready and not going to waste a day being hungover, I get about 5-10 minutes into movement and have to take a nap.

I sit up.
Take a nap.
Find phone.
Take a nap.
Order food.
Take a nap.
Meet Uber eats outside.
Eat.
Take a nap (slight improvement).

Refusing to waste the little time I had here feeling like shit, I recalled a service someone told me about that they had in Las Vegas. You basically get an IV with fluids and vitamins and it gets rid of a hangover. I figured NY was bustling, maybe they had that too. Sure enough they did! They provided a service where they came to you but I wasn’t sure how that would work (letting them into hostel, getting an IV in front of potentially 7 other roommates…) . So I made an appt to go to them.

Then I took a nap.
Drank some water.
Took a nap
Took a shower
Took a nap
Got ready and called cab.

I couldn’t even open my eyes fully when I went in there (Clean Market). It was like that miserable feeling where your face is constantly skewed and you squint your eyes to keep yourself from puking or hurting too bad or something, I don’t even really know.

I get in and sit down and she has to check blood pressure twice because it was high. My pulse was 98 lol.

When she stuck in the needle, my blood is a dark, almost maroon color. She pointed out that I must be extremely dehydrated seeing as your blood should be bright cherry red.

I had her add the nausea + pain medication + vitamin B mix.

10 min later I had the massage chair violently beating my head, enjoying the jarring massage (something that would have definitely made me spew chunks just a few minutes ago). The shit worked wonders! Though I was still tired, My hangover was entirely cured lol it was fucking amazing!!!

NOTE:

I drank a Venti coffee that morning as well as a water.

I was given 1 LITER of IV Fluids

Drank 2 more bottles of water

1 pomegranate juice

1 simply orange juice

And still did not pee until almost 10 pm. Not once.

Fuck.

This was not the end of it.

As I’m wondering around, I realized my phone is at about 3%. This normally would not be much of an issue, except for the fact I was about a 40-50 min drive away from my hostel and had no cash or physical cards to pay for anything. I also hadn’t had any cigs all day and was starting to get a little twitchy.

Once again, fuck.

On my 3% battery, first thing I try to do is order a cab via “curb” app. It was trying to locate 1 of the million cabs I could see with my own fucking eyes for about 7 min. When I really started panicking, I tried Uber really quick but it wouldn’t process my PayPal. On about 2% i said fuck it and typed in convenient store in google maps. I headed to the nearest Walgreens to get cigs and a phone charger with tap and pay before my phone died. They of course don’t have cigarettes!

The employees response: “Um, we’re a pharmacy (duh)??”

…I guess the ones in Oregon aren’t?? Lol

So I got a phone charger then found a plug in at the store and sat on the floor with my phone plugged in like a homeless person, wondering where i could score some cigs. It was then I realized Mitchell had sent me $150 in Apple Cash the night before!!! Fuck yeah! After i got past the red on my battery, I headed to 7-11 and asked for cigs. When I went to pay the FUCKING SHIT WOULDN’T WORK. I tried like 10 times (as the line of about 8 people behind me continued to accumulate). He was looking at me annoyed, obviously hoping this ghetto bitch will leave soon on her own accord. I was like “look it has the money there, it says it does, it’s Apple Cash!”.

I finally stepped outside and tried to think…. I started fucking around with the Apple Pay and found out I could transfer money from Apple Cash to my bank instantly, so I did that. Tried again and it worked!!!! Thank the lord Jesus.

Shitty thing was, is the Curb app was now malfunctioning and it locked me out. I had to email customer support and was under no impression I would get a response before Monday. So, i had to use $90 of the like NO money I had to take an Uber back. They are more expensive that the cabs.

Anyways, on a positive note, prior to all that and after the IV, I was able to wander around and explore and have fun. I returned to the hostel at about 9 and was asleep by 10. I woke up and jumped in shower by 630am the next morning to make up for lost time.
